A little sidetracked, but relating none-the-less

Ok, so I was looking through these paintings by Brandon Bird. He makes pop culture paintings. I was having the time of my life looking through his oil paintings when I stumbled upon his sketches. As there was a Seinfeld one, I thought I had best add it to this blog.

When 'old' media depicts pop culture, does it then become new media?

Difficulties in relating Seinfeld....

It has proven somewhat difficult to relate this class or subsequent classes to Seinfeld episodes. I started thinking about the episode in which Kramer runs for condo board president. He gives out 'willards' (knock-off wizards) to the older people in the community. The wizard is supposed to be an all purpose calculator and organizer, however, the 'digital immigrants'(the retired residents of the condo board) are only interested in the tip calculator rendering the majority of the Wizards useful functions completely useless.

The basis of this blog...

It took a very long time to think of a blog topic that was not just useless and for y own entertainment. This is what I came up with:
In an attempt to maintain some relation to the course, I was hoping to try and relate the topics from every week to an episode of Seinfeld. (I'm sure if there was an exam this would help.) Ultimately I thought it would be fun to see who was best at making relations, or if other sitcoms were more universal fits for the material. I suppose we'll see how it goes.
I'll post again when I think of a relation between Sept.10ths class and an episode or event.
